Company Profile

The mother company was founded by Mr. Hugo Trumpy in Genoa
in 1876. He was a Norwegian businessman who began acting
as ships agent in Genoa handling mainly Scandinavian ships.
When he died in 1917, Danish businessman Elnjer Boesgaard
took control of the company. Christopher Kieland, born in Norway
became his partner in 1918. Until the present day these two families
are still leading Hugo Trumpy.

During his life Hugo Trumpy expanded his business from ship agents
to all aspects of the shipping industry, such as agency, liners,
chartering, management etc.


Today Hugo Trumpy is organised around several subsidiary and
associated companies situated in all main Italian ports,Antwerp,
Rotterdam, Bremen & Harwich.
One of those companies is HUGO TRUMPY BV, RHOON
which was founded in 1993 in Rotterdam
